I was seeking medical help, but I wasn’t happy being shuffled around by Doctors. I discovered Reiki by a series of events that started as a supplement for medical treatment. After becoming a Reiki II Practitioner, it was evident that Reiki can help heal. Being aware of the life-force energy changed how my senses perceived energy. This opened the door to reintegration of my mind-body-spirit and I found my way back to wholeness. I started having spiritual experiences that were a direct result of having the benefits of Reiki healing. My heart was opening up again and I could feel my intuition become stronger. Having a healthy respect for my inner-voice I was able to find my truth and no longer deny the reality that I was a being of light and love. Reiki signifies the turning-point to a new beginning. All of the experiences that have brought me to this point were setting the stage to a new phase of my development. Reiki healing is the catalyst for this change not only for me but those around me. Reiki brought me a new sense of responsibility and offered a shift for respecting the energy in the world around me. Reiki awakened my compassion and the desire to help others to heal. Everything was new again looking through the eyes of Reiki. It changed my perspective and I could see life differently. The business of life continues with bills to pay and with all of the same job and family constraints, but with Reiki, even the mundane takes on new meaning. It seems there is a higher purpose for everything no matter how small because everything is energy and I realized I could make a difference in people’s lives no matter what the task. Reiki led me to the realization that I need to take care of the energy force around me. The life-force that is around everything is also around me and I need to be mindful of what I let into my field. There are times ahead that will be challenging and harnessing the Reiki to benefit health and wellness includes a dose of protection to constantly be in awareness not just for my benefit but so that I may be a better healer. Reiki opened the awareness to my inner wisdom that knew all of this and more. The stewardship I find that comes with Reiki goes well beyond the realm of what I can imagine.
